How to clean your ring at home so it keeps shining
4 min read ยท True Vow Rings

Rings dull because of lotion, soap and everyday dirt, not because the metal changes. A gentle clean brings back the shine.
The 10 minute clean for every ring
1. Fill a small bowl with warm water and a drop of mild dish soap.
2. Soak the ring for about 10 minutes.
3. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush, especially under the stone.
4. Rinse in clean water with the sink plug in.
5. Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Cubic zirconia rings
Clean the back of the stone, where lotion builds up and blocks light. Do this every week or two for the brightest sparkle on rings like the Oval Cut Solitaire and Six Prong Solitaire.
Tungsten and stainless steel bands
Soap and water is all they need. Skip polishing pastes and harsh cleaners on coloured finishes such as the gold tone, rose gold tone, black and blue stacking bands. Tungsten bands like the Brushed Tungsten Band just need a wipe.
When to take your ring off
At the gym, in the pool and the sea, while cleaning with chemicals, and when putting on lotion. Store each ring on its own so harder rings do not scratch softer ones.

Questions and answers
Can I use toothpaste to clean my ring?
No. Toothpaste is mildly abrasive and can leave fine scratches.
Is it safe to use an ultrasonic cleaner?
Plain bands are fine. For stone rings, a gentle hand clean is the safer choice.
