How to stack rings with your engagement ring
4 min read ยท True Vow Rings

A ring stack turns one ring into a look of your own. A few simple rules keep it balanced and comfortable.
The classic order
Tradition puts the wedding band closest to the heart, so it goes on first, with the engagement ring above it. Many people wear them the other way round. Choose what feels right.
Keep the bands slim
Slim bands sit neatly against a solitaire and leave room on the finger. A 3 mm band is a popular width. Our 3 mm Stainless Steel Stacking Band is made to hug an engagement ring or stack with two or three more.
Mix colours with a plan
Pick one main colour and add one accent. Silver tone with one rose gold tone band looks planned. Three colours at once can look busy. The stacking band comes in five finishes: silver tone, gold tone, rose gold tone, black and blue.
How many rings
Two or three rings on one finger is the comfortable sweet spot. More than that can feel tight, so size up half a size for a stack of four or more. Check sizes in our ring size guide.

Questions and answers
Which goes first, the wedding band or the engagement ring?

Should stacked rings be the same size?
Usually yes. For a stack of four or more slim bands, many people go up half a size for comfort.
